This project was a finalist in the International Dulux Colour Awards – Residential Interior.
The owners wanted an inspirational and modern design, but within a tight budget. By obtaining a detailed client brief, and a clear understanding of the financial constraint, I was able to be creative and come in on budget. In fact, tight budgets make me more creative.
A lot of clients have trouble visualising, and so at their request I produced Mood boards of the exterior and interior finishes and colours. I worked with a limited colour palette, repeated it in subtle and interesting ways, and played with texture and sheen. The finished result has been described as smart and sharp.
