Design Process

Working with you

Renovations & New Builds

I believe great interior design is the result of a problem solved. After I have taken your brief, my role is to find solutions, answer your questions, and resolve problems.

This is the Design Process I will follow when working with you.

Initial Enquiry

Having contacted me we will set up a meeting so I can take your interior design brief.

Design Brief

After our meeting, I record your verbal design brief into a Scope of Work Agreement.  This will include a General Overview of the project, specific tasks to complete the brief, my Terms & Conditions, and my estimated fee.

Scope of Work

The Scope of Work Agreement is presented to you for your approval to proceed.  You can add or delete tasks as necessary, and your Scope of Work is amended accordingly.

Contract Signed

The Scope of Work Agreement is signed by the you, or alternatively, your first deposit of funds is paid into the Donna White Interior Design's nominated bank account.  Either option constitutes an irrevocable acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, and an instruction to the Designer to deliver the Scope of Work.

Invoicing

You will be emailed your first Invoice, which is 50% of the estimated design fee.  The Designer will commence work immediately upon receipt of payment. Thereafter, progress invoices will be emailed to you.

Purchases

For all purchases made through the Donna White Interior Design accounts, Quotes are presented which will include the Designer price, and the recommended retail price (RRP), so you can see the savings you are making.  A handling fee is included in the Designer price.

Purchase Approval

Upon approval to proceed for the purchase of goods through Donna White Interior Design trade accounts, you will be invoiced 100% for the goods, or 50% of the value of the product or service when there is a long lead time.  The balance is payable prior to delivery.  Only upon receipt of payment, will Orders be placed.

Delivery / Installation

The Designer will follow through to the delivery and/or installation of the product ordered.  It is your responsibility to check to ensure that the product has arrived in good condition, and before the carrier leaves your property.

Progress & Communication

The Designer will communicate with you on a regular basis to keep you up to date with progress and the status of work.

Job Completed

Throughout your Scope of Work we will have reviewed and discussed the evolving interior design. When all work is completed, I will walk through the project with you, to ensure you are completely satisfied with the end result.  My final touch will be to dress your home, and this will be a complimentary service to you.

I will invite you to write a review for me.

"Your home should tell the story of who you are, and a collection of what you love."
