This home was inspired by Balinese architecture to extent that the roof and floor tiles were imported from Indonesia, and the special ceiling fans in the vaulted ceiling are made of rattan.

The living room is full of large potted plants, and outside there is lush tropical greenery reminiscent of Bali. A glimpse of a bedroom from the living room draws your eye to the separate master bedroom annex, which is accessed by a private corridor.

The clients had travelled extensively throughout their careers, so Donna had a wealth of furniture and accessories to select from to create an eclectic living room and master bedroom. Where necessary bespoke furniture, re-upholstery, and bedlinen were commissioned. Donna chose a limited palette of colour and added further interest and intrique by mixing sheen levels, and by layering pattern and texture.

The bedroom walls are painted in Dulux Cobbler, and is a wonderful warm background to palm leaves and tropical fruit seen in the bedside decor.

Thanks to Donna we now have a living room and bedroom we love. She is very professional and endlessly patient. The whole process was enjoyable, with our own ideas being incorporated into her inspired designs. Without her it would have been impossible to achieve the results we have.
