This project was a finalist in the International Dulux Colour Awards – Commercial Interior.
The Crêperie is in an historic block of shops in upper Queen Street Auckland. The owner specifically requested traditional French Café decor, not a contemporary modern interpretation. I visited all of the French cafés and restaurants in Auckland to ensure that my design was unique to the competition.
The chosen colours and fabrics were then incorporated into the menu, shop sign, business cards and all advertising material. The walls are hung with quality colour copies from the owner’s extensive collection of antique French newspapers and magazines. French-accented waiter staff and music perpetuate the European ambiance generated by the décor.
