The 50-room hunting lodge in Cordoba, Spain, is owned by a member of British aristocracy (previously by the King & Queen of Spain). I was responsible for Phase 2, the renovation of two Guest Houses. This included specifying the colours, finishes, tiles, lights, furniture, accessories and fabrics. I also liaised with upholsterers and manufacturers of the window treatments and bed linen.
The Duke owns a significant collection of antiques and I was responsible for reviewing the collection and selecting those pieces that would complement the overall design concept. I also managed the shipment of goods from London to Cordoba, and coordinated the unloading from the truck to their correctly allocated rooms, and, of course, dressing the rooms. My final role was to organize the snagging details of Phase 1, the Duke’s private residence. I visited Cordoba on four separate occasions.
Due to strict security surrounding this property, I have only been permitted to take a few snaps of this wonderful project.
